Sit aroungd Sit idly, doing nothing-অলস ভাবে বসে থাকা They just SAT AROUND while the others did all the work.
Sit down Help someone to sit-কাউকে বসতে সাহায্য করা The nurse SAT me DOWN in a chair.
Sit for Pose for an artist or photographer- ছবি আঁকানোর জন্য বসা The Queen SAT FOR another official portrait.
Sit in for Take on someone’s responsibilities while they are absent- কারো অনুপস্থিতিতে তার দায়িত্ব নেওয়া Her deputy’s SITTING IN FOR her while she’s away.
Sit up Move from lying down to a sitting position-উঠে বসা She SAT UP in bed when the doctor wanted to take her temperature.
Stand aside Leave a position so that someone else can take it-স্থান ছেড়ে সরে দাঁড়ান The prime minister should STAND ASIDE and let a new leader head the party.
Stand back Keep a distance from something-কোন কিছু থেকে দূরে থাকা We STOOD BACK while he lit the firework.
Stand by to help somebody or be friends with them, even in difficult situations-পাশে থাকা He STOOD BY her throughout the trial as he believed her to be innocent.
Stand by to be ready for action-সক্রিয় থাকা The troops are standing by.

Take back to admit that something you said was wrong or that you should not have said it-ভুল স্বীকার করা OK, I take it all back!
Take back if you take something back to a shop/store, or a shop/store takes something back, you return something that you have bought there, for example because it is the wrong size or does not work-ফেরত নেওয়া Please take it back, it dont fit my child body.

Take up to fill or use an amount of space or time-স্থান বা সময় অধিকৃত করা The table takes up too much room. I won’t take up any more of your time.
